Old photographs of cottages on Glendoune Street in Girvan in South Ayrshire, Scotland. By the late 1700s and into the 1800s, Girvan expanded as a center for handloom weaving. Glendoune and neighboring Ballybroke Street formed the heart of this working-class weaving community.
