Old photograph of a cottage and people on Kerse Avenue in Grangemouth, South of Stirling, Scotland. In the 18th century, Sir Laurence Dundas of West Kerse resided here. He famously dug the first spade of earth in 1768 to begin the Forth and Clyde Canal, which effectively founded the modern town of Grangemouth. Industrial Transformation
