This is a long, narrow Scottish loch, located 5 miles north west of Pitlochry. The loch is traversed by roads on both north and south banks, offering splendid views of the surrounding countryside. The loch is popular with anglers who enjoy fishing for trout and for campers and canoeists, and with photographers all year round. The area around the River Tummel and Loch Tummel is known as Strathtummel and is one of the most beautiful parts of Big Tree Country in Perthshire.
