Old photograph of Scottish soldiers at a Military Camp outside Birnam, Perthshire, Scotland. Starting in the 1890s, the 5th Volunteer Battalion of The Black Watch held its massive annual summer training camps in Birnam. These gatherings brought together all eight regional companies for maneuvers and weapons training.
