Old photograph of the steamer Linnet on the Crinan Canal by Bellanoch situated two miles southeast of the village of Crinan, Scotland. This steampship carried mails in addition to passenger traffic. It was first operated, like many other steamers on the West Coast, by David Hutcheson & Company from 1879 it was operated by one of the former partners in that firm under his own name, David MacBrayne.
