Old Photograph Netherlee Scotland

Old photograph of a horse and trap, people and houses in Netherlee in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. Up until the latter part of the 19th century, Netherlee was a small rural village along the main road from Glasgow to Clarkston, the present day Netherlee Road. Many local residents were employed in the printworks on the bank of the River Cart. It is now part of the Greater Glasgow conurbation. History Blog post of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to travel and visit one day.
