Old photograph of the Royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Airdrie is situated about 12 miles east of Glasgow city centre. George Frederick Ernest Albert, born 3 June 1865, died 20 January 1936, was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India, from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936. Mary was the wife and Queen consort of King George V, she was born on May 26, 1867 at Kensington Palace, London, England. She married George V, on July 6, 1893.
