Old Photograph Academy Fordyce Scotland

Old photograph of the Academy in Fordyce in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The school dates its origins back to 1592 under Sir Thomas Menzies. From 1716 to 1789, the school operated out of a wing of Fordyce Castle before relocating to different locations. Brothers Robert and James Smith, who played for Scotland in the first football international in 1872, were educated at Fordyce Academy.
