Old photograph of Step Rock Bathing Pool in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. While a bathing shelter existed at the site in the late 1800s, the official tidal pool opened in 1902. It was initially a men-only facility; mixed bathing was considered " indecent " by some locals until 1929.
