Old photograph of cottages, houses and children on Cornhill Street in Newburgh, Fife, Scotland. The first recorded instance of whisky distillation in Scotland occurred in Newburgh in 1494, when King James IV ordered eight bolls of malt to be made into Aqua Vita.
