Old photograph of staff outside the railway station in Kintore near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This train served as a junction between the main line, and an abandoned branch to Alford. It is now closed due to major post-war British rail cutbacks.
James Park, born 1857, died 1946, was a Scottish geologist, director of school of mines, university professor and writer, active in New Zealand. He was born in Kintore. His son Air Commodore Sir Keith Park had a distinguished career in the Royal Air Force in two world wars.
