Bo’ness Federation pipe-band was formed in 1919. The first Pipe major was Willie McComb, after he was demobbed from the army at the end of the first World War he went back to working as a miner in Longriggend. Borrowstounness commonly known as Bo'ness is a coastal parish in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It lies on a hillside on the south bank of the Firth of Forth within the Falkirk council area, 16.9 miles north west of Edinburgh and 6.7 miles east of Falkirk.
