Old Photograph Maxton Scotland

Old photograph of cottages in Maxton located just South of St Boswells in the Scottish Borders, Scotland. Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland, made a charter to John St.Clair, his valet, of the lands of Maxton, Roxburghshire, around 1326, one of the witnesses being Robert de Lauder, Justiciar of Lothian.
