
Tour Scotland travel Blog photography of a flying puffin on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip Handa Island, off the west coast of Sutherland Highlands. Anciently Handa Island was used as a burial place, and there are still the remains of a chapel in the south east, commemorated in the name TrĂ igh an Teampaill, Beach of the Temple. These days Handa is noted for its birdlife, which includes puffins, razorbills and guillemots.
