Tour Scotland travel photography of the Black Watch Monument on ancestry, history visit and trip to Aberfeldy, Highland Perthshire, Scotland. The Black Watch Memorial where, after the 1715 Jacobite rebellion, companies of trustworthy Highlanders were raised from loyal clans. They became known as the Black Watch for the watch they kept on the Highlands and from their dark government tartan. Since then the battle honours collected depict a regiment on almost constant deployment in the most dangerous and inhospitable parts of the world.
