
Old photograph of a steam train in the railway station in Banff, Scotland. The Banff, Macduff and Turriff Junction Railway was authorized in 1855 and opened to Turriff in 1857. This was followed by the Banff, Macduff and Turriff Extension Railway, which built the line to Banff and Macduff. Passenger services on the branch line, including Banff station, ended on October 1, 1951.
