Tour Scotland photograph of Kilt Rock, the famous basaltic cliff near Staffin, Trotternish, Isle of Skye, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. Kilt Rock comprises spectacular sea cliffs 180 feet tall, made of dolerite rock strata in many different colours. Kilt Rock boasts a dramatic waterfall created from the outflow of Loch Mealt. The nearest crofting township is Elishader or Ellishadder situated close to the north shore of the freshwater Loch Mealt.
