Tour Scotland photograph of Fernie Castle, North East Fife, Scotland. The ancient Castle of Fernie was first recorded in 1353 when it belonged to the Earl of Fife. Situated just east of the village of Letham, it was originally in an L-plan layout. However, the house has been much altered and extended since, notably additions made in the Scottish baronial style in the nineteenth century.
