Tour Scotland photograph of the Captain David Taylor gravestone in the churchyard cemetery in Arbirlot, Angus, Scotland. Erected by Robert Taylor in memory of his father, late of The Northern Lighthouse Service who died on 25th February, 1843, aged 76.
Among the many Taylors recorded in history are Zackary Taylor, born 1784, died 1850, the 12th president of the Unites States. He was a famous soldier who played a large part in the independence of Texas from Mexico, whilst Jane Taylor, born 1783, died 1824, was a famous children's author whose works included the poem " Twinkle, twinkle, little star. "
