Reverend William McConachie born at Aberlour 8th May 1864, died at Lauder, 3rd October 1931. Minister of Guthrie 13 years, and of Lauder 25 years. A man after God's own heart, a sincere and loyal friend, he was beloved by all who knew him. As a well known writer, scientist and keen ornithologist, he saw God revealed in nature and in all things beautiful in this wonderful world. " He giveth his beloved sleep. "
