Tour Scotland travel photography of House of Pitmuies on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to Angus, Scotland. In 1734, the widowed Margaret Ogilvy was living at the house when a gentleman named Mr Carnegy of Lour famously fell off his horse right in front of the building. He was invited inside to dry his clothes, which sparked a romance; the two married in 1744.
