Dale Cottage is a cosy cottage with a lovely enclosed garden - great for a relaxing break in lovely surroundings. It is located within walking distance of Peebles High Street with it's unique shops, restaurants and cafes. Nearby is the cycle path which provides access to Glentress and Innerleithen for keen mountain bikers. Peebles is 22 miles from Edinburgh and has regular bus service which will take you directly to the city centre. To the west of the town is Neidpath Castle, which can be reached on foot through Hay Lodge Park, the route offering spectacular views of the castle. The castle is now closed to the public. Just south of the town Glentress Forest is the base for some of the best mountain biking in the country. For walkers the John Buchan Walking Way starts at the west side of the town.

Electricity and gas included. Towels and linens included. Probably not suit couples with mobility problems due to stairs. Children age six and over welcome. Regular buses to Edinburgh and Melrose minutes from house.

Neidpath Cottage sleeps 6 in comfort with beds freshly made up for your arrival and a roaring log fire waiting to be lit. The well equipped kitchen has everything for the discerning cook, but if you prefer there are plenty of restaurants and pubs in Peebles, within walking distance. The cottage looks out at the River Tweed and is nestled right beside Neidpath Castle which can be opened by arrangement. Activities include fishing (river permits available); biking at nearby Glentress; walking the John Buchan Way amongst other routes; visiting Dawyck Gardens, Traquair and other Border attractions.

Lower Portbrae is a self-catering apartment located at the West end of Peebles High Street within easy reach of all the town amenities. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6, has a large living room with dining area, fully fitted separate kitchen with breakfast bar, and 3 spacious bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twins. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are en-suite, with a choice of bath or showers. There is a large drying cupboard with a washer/dryer. Private off street parking is provided as well as on-site secure bike and equipment storage. There is satellite TV, DVD player and broadband is available for those who need to keep in touch.
