Tour Scotland 4K late Autumn travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, on the B947 often single track route, with passing places, on ancestry, genealogy, history visit to rural Eastern Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. With Aberdeenshire to the north and Angus to the east, the South Eastern Perthshire area extends to over 73,000 hectares, with a population of between 16,000 and 18,000. The north of the area lies within the Grampian Mountains, extending to the edge of the Glenshee ski centre. Blairgowrie is on the approach to the eastern Cairngorm National Park and is one of the gateways to Highland Perthshire. To the west of Blairgowrie lies the Lunan Valley and to the east the town of Alyth. The southern part of the area is lowland in character and forms part of trathmore. At the heart of Strathmore is the town of Coupar Angus, which was once an important route and market centre serving a rich hinterland. This road is only wide enough for one vehicle. It has some passing places. If you see a vehicle coming towards you, or the driver behind wants to overtake, try to pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite a passing place on your right. Give way to vehicles coming uphill whenever you can. If necessary, reverse until you reach a passing place to let the other vehicle pass. Scotsman Walking Wearing Kilt By Loch Fionn On Autumn History Visit To Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland short 4K late Autumn travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and sporran and walking by icy and spectacular Loch Fionn on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. Fionn Loch is a large, scenic loch located in the Assynt region of Sutherland near the famous mountain Suilven. The area's landscape is a product of the last Ice Age, with glaciers carving out the rock basins and creating the lochs and low hills that characterize the region. The loch was also named in relation to the Viking presence in the area. The name Suilven is a contraction of the Old Norse words sĂșl meaning pillar and fjall meaning mountain. Fionn Loch means " Fair or Clear Loch " in Gaelic. Like much of the Highlands, the area around Fionn Loch has a history of human settlement and clearance. Nearby areas saw evictions in the 1800s to make way for sheep farming, Autumn leaf color or colour is a phenomenon that affects the normally green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the Autumn season, various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, orange, pink, magenta, blue and brown. Scotsman Walking Wearing Kilt By Loch More On Autumn History Visit To Highlands Scotland
Tour Scotland short 4K late Autumn travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and sporran and walking by icy, freshwater Loch More on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the Sutherland Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. The area around the loch also has historical ties to ancient kingdoms like the Picts and Norse rule before becoming part of Scotland. The loch's shape was carved by glaciers during the last ice age, which ended around 15,000 years ago, leaving behind the valleys and hills characteristic of the region. The region was once part of the Pictish kingdom of Cat, which was conquered by the Norse in the 9th century. The land surrounding the loch was significantly impacted by the Sutherland Clearances in the 19th century. Landowners, most notably the Dukes of Sutherland and their factor James Loch, forcefully evicted families to make way for large sheep farms and deer forests.
