Found in 98% of British gardens, the blue tit bird is identified by its colourful plumage. Blue tit’s wings, tail and crown are bright blue and their other defining features include a yellow breast, green shading on their back, white cheeks, a single white wing bar, and prominent black stripes on the eyes, bib and collar. Although the female and male are nearly indistinguishable, the female is slightly paler. Juveniles can be distinguished from adults as their colouring is more green than blue, and their cheeks are yellow rather than white. Blue tits are typically found in woodland areas, although they are well adapted to gardens and towns. They are very agile birds. The population of this species has flourished due to the increased availability of nest boxes and garden feeders. Blue tits can be observed in gardens eating at bird feeders or scavenging for food. Some of their favourite foods are insects, sunflower hearts, Mealworms, suet and peanuts. Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Tour Scotland short 4K Autumn Saturday wildlife nature camera travel video clip of the sight and sounds of a Woodpecker bird spotted hiding and eating Suet on a morning visit and trip to my Scottish cottage garden in Scone by Perth, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Great spotted woodpeckers can be seen in woodlands, especially with mature broad leaved trees, although mature conifers will support them. They can also be found in parks and large gardens. They will come to peanut and Suet feeders and bird tables. Not found in the far North of Scotland. Only a handful of pairs nest in Ireland, but numbers are increasing. Common in England and Wales. Legend says, if you ever see a red-headed woodpecker it will always move to the opposite side of the tree away from you because it is hiding in shame. People of varying spiritualities see a woodpecker as a friend when they're lonely. When one visits them, they gain inner strength to persevere through whatever challenges affect their daily lives. Duncan Robertson 1st of Trinafour was born about 1642, his father, Duncan Robertson 4th of Auchleeks, was 56 and his mother, Jean Robertson of Middle Downie, was 30. He had at least 1 son and 2 daughters with Helen Cunison. Alexander Robertson was born on 9 August 1787, in Fortingall, his father, Duncan Robertson 3rd of Trinafour, was 51 and his mother, Charlotte Robertson of Woodsheal, was 30. He had at least 4 sons and 4 daughters with Agnes " Nancy " Moore. He died in 1853, in Halton, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 66, and was buried in Boston, Halton Hills, Halton, Ontario, Canada. Alastair Mackenzie was born in Trinafour near Perth in 1970 and is most famous for playing Archie Macdonald in Monarch of the Glen. Between 1728 and 1730, General Wade's men built the road from Dunkeld to Inverness, connecting Perth and Inverness. By July 1728 Wade was able to write in a letter that he had 300 working on the road, that 15 miles of it were finished and that he hoped to have 40 miles completed by October.The road from Crieff led north by the Sma' Glen and Amutree through Glen Cochil and into Aberfeldy by what is now called Old Crieff Road. To the north of the bridge it pioneered the present day route to Tummel Bridge, Trinafour and Dainacardoch where it joined the road from Dunkeld to Inverness in the Highlands.
