He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in 441 Langsell Road, Nether Hallam, Yorkshire. Lieutenant, 1 Battalion Yorkshire Regiment in 1891. Captain, Reserve of Officers in 1901. Major in the Yorkshire Regiment, " The Green Howards. " Laid to rest on September 4th, 1926.
