Tour Scotland Video Falls Of Dochart
Tour Scotland video of the Falls of Dochart and cottages above in Killin, Scotland. The Falls of Dochart are situated on the River Dochart at Killin in Stirlingshire, formally in Perthshire, Scotland at the western end of Loch Tay. A bridge crosses over the river just as you enter Killin giving a fabulous view of the falls as they cascade down over the rocks and around the island of Inchbuie, which is the traditional burial place of the MacNab clan.

Tour Scotland Video Alexander MacDonald Window Dunino Near St Andrews
Tour Scotland travel video of the Alexander MacDonald stained glass window in the Parish Church on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit and trip to Dunino near St Andrews, Fife. Commemorating Alexander MacDonald, minister of Dunino 1911 to 1949.
Clan MacDonald is the most famous and numerous of the long line of Scottish Highland Clans. The surname is now recorded in every part of the world, the origination of the chiefs being from one Donald of the Isles in the 10th century a.d. The derivation is from the Gaelic Mac Dhomhnuill, translating as The son of Donald. Amongst the many famous MacDonalds are Flora MacDonald, born 1722. died 1790, the rescuer of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745, and Sir John MacDonald, the founder and premier of the Dominion of Canada, born 1815, died 1891. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Therthelnac MakDonenalde, which was dated circa 1251, a charter witness at Lesmore, Scotland, during the reign of King Alexander 111 of Scotland.
