Old photograph of Oxenfoord Castle, Midlothian, Scotland. Originally a 16th century tower house, the present castle is largely the result of major rebuilding in 1782, to designs by the architect Robert Adam. Oxenfoord was the seat of the Earl of Stair from 1840, and remains in private ownership.

There is a 'lost city' lying to the north of the modern city of Aberdeen. It is Scotland's most compact and least known architectural treasure-house. In this fine Burgh is a pattern-book of Scottish architecture, both vernacular and classical, and offers one of the most significant townscapes in all of Scotland. Old Photographs Craigmarloch Scotland

Old photograph of Craigmarloch, Scotland. Craigmarloch was originally an area to the north of Cumbernauld, close to Kilsyth and adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal. The name is now used as a residential area of the town of Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire.
