Scotland. Perth Highland Games have grown from strength to strength and are one of the most popular venues on the Highland Games circuit. The heavyweights prove most popular in throwing the weight for distance, shot putt, throwing weight over the bar, and tossing the caber.
Other events are highland dancing, solo piping, running, cycling, tug-o-war, and the fantastic pipe band contest with 20 bands from all over the world.
