Wind Farm On History Visit To Drumbeg Hill Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland short 4K Autumn travel of a wind farm on history visit and trip to Drumbeg Hill, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. It is located approximately 3 miles North East of Bridge of Cally and 6 miles North West of Alyth. During World War II, the remote and open terrain of Drumderg Hill was requisitioned for military training. It served as an artillery firing range for troops. Because of this intensive wartime use, the ground held hidden hazards for decades, necessitating extensive non intrusive land surveys and specialized clearance efforts in later years to safely remove unexploded shells before any modern development could begin. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. Meteorological Autumn or Fall is different from standard and astronomical Autumn and begins September 1 and ends November 30 All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.
