The Golf Hotel: Located just west of the Tolbooth where Marketgate transitions into the High Street, this highly distinctive landmark dates back to the early 1700s. Many of the traditional buildings feature distinctive crow stepped gables, forestairs, and classic red pantiled roofs brought over as ballast by Dutch trading ships.
