Spring Road Trip Drive With Bagpipes Music On History Visit To Caputh Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Spring travel video, with Scottish bagpipes music, of a road trip drive on the A984 old military road on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to Caputh, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Caputh was once the site of a strong Pictish town named Tulina. The name is believed to derive from the Gaelic Ceapach, meaning " garden, " though other interpretations suggest " flood plain " or " decayed wood ". From 1869 to 1893 Reverend Theodore Marshall was minister of Caputh. In 1908 he was elected Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. He died during his year in office. The famous singer, Belle Stewart, was born in a bow tent on the banks of the River Tay on 18 July 1906 in Caputh. Local legend tells of a "hidden treasure" buried under a rock near the village, said to be guarded by a supernatural sagacious dog. This Scottish village is on the A984 Coupar Angus to Dunkeld road about 6 miles east of Dunkeld and 8 miles west of Coupar Angus.
