Tiumpan Head, Scottish Gaelic: Rubha an Tiompain, meaning " promontory of the hill is the northeastern end of the Point peninsula on the Isle of Lewis. The lighthouse was approved in 1879 to monitor illegal trawling. It was first lit on December 1, 1900. The structure was designed by brothers David Alan and Charles Alexander Stevenson, members of the famous Stevenson lighthouse-engineering family.
