Tour Scotland short 4K travel video, with bagpipes music, of a Wind Farm on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit and trip to the Scottish Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. Scotland has a long history with wind energy, dating back to the world's first electricity-generating wind turbine built in 1887 by James Blyth, a Scottish academic, who built a wind turbine at his holiday home in Marykirk, Aberdeenshire, to power his cottage. The surplus electricity generated was offered to the local community but was initially rejected. Some concerns have been raised about the potential negative impact of wind farms on tourism. In fact, tourism related employment in Scotland has continued to grow alongside the expansion of wind energy. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day
