Tour Scotland Summer 4K travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish bagppipes music, South down the M90 motorway, to the slip road to Milnathort on history visit to Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Betsy Scott was born in Milnathort on 3rd of July 1881 she married John Inglis Kirkcaldy on 27 Jun 1902 and emigrated first to Saskatchewan, Canada in 1911 then to Seattle, Washington, USA in 1923. They had two daughters, Ivy, born in Kirkcaldy, and Jacqueline, born in Regina, Saskatchewan. John Steedman was born 22 Feb 1814, son of William Steedman, clock and watch maker, in Milnathort, and Bathia his wife. This Scottish road is the northernmost motorway in the UK. Unless a motorway is a natural extension of an A road, you join it or leave it from a slip road. The speed limit is usually 70mph, but there are occasions when signs tell you that there’s a lower speed limit in force. Keep left when you can. Use the outside lanes only when you need to overtake. Overtake only on the right of other cars, unless you’re crawling in a traffic jam. Don’t use the hard shoulder unless you have a breakdown or you are directed to do so. It’ is illegal to use it otherwise. Signs on central reservations apply to all lanes. Signs above the road on gantries can apply only to the lanes they’ are over. Don’t tailgate, and leave even more room between you and other vehicles if it’s wet, icy or foggy. Get in the left-hand lane in good time before you reach your exit junction. Professor David Hepburn was born in Milnathort in 1859 and attended Brand’s School in the town. He was a Scottish physician and anatomist. He served as President of the Anatomical Society from 1916 to 1918, His final years in Edinburgh were spent at 11 Glenorchy Terrace in the south side of the city. He died on 9 March 1931. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. The date for astronomical Summer in Scotland is Tuesday, 21 June, ending on Friday, 23 September. When driving on Scottish roads in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip
