Tour Scotland short 4K travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and sporran and walking by the coast of Gunna Island on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to Inner Hebrides, Britain, United Kingdom. Gunna is located between Coll and Tiree. Its name is thought to be of Norse origin, potentially meaning " Gunni's island ". The island is known for its peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and historical ties to hermits, Vikings, and even a mention in Scottish literature. There are suggestions that Gunna may have been a hermitage or culdee, early Irish monastic order, island, with evidence of a well and a place called " Port na Cille " meaning Port of the Monk's Cell. Sandy Duncanson, the villain of Neil Munro's novel The New Road, comes from here, one chapter is titled " The Man from Gunna." It is suggested that this symbolises his ambiguous nature, since Tiree was "one of Mac Cailean Mór's loyal islands", and Coll was wild country. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day
