Tour Scotland 4K late Summer early Autumn travel video, with Scottish accordion, of a road trip drive North on the A823 routeo on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to rural Eastern Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. The road goes through open countryside, and a series of long straights then lifts the road up into the Sidlaw Hills. A winding section then cuts through the gap in the ridge, with the road levelling out before plunging down a steep descent. There is then a series of tight bends through trees to bring the road down onto the flatter valley floor of Strathmore. This road goes through Clan Donnachaidh country, Scottish Gaelic: Clann Dònnchaidh, also known as Clan Robertson, one of the oldest of all Perthshire clans. The clan's first recognised chief, Donnchadh Reamhar, " Stout Duncan ", son of Andrew de Atholia, Latin for Andrew of Atholl, was a minor landowner and leader of a kingroup around Dunkeld, Highland Perthshire, and as legend has it, was an enthusiastic and faithful supporter of King Robert the Bruce during the Wars of Scottish Independence; he is believed to have looked after King Robert after the Battle of Methven in 1306. The clan asserts that Stout Duncan's relatives and followers supported Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
