Tour Scotland 4K Summer travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, East on the A827 route from Aberfeldy on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the town of Grandtully, Highland Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. The village of Grandtully is located on the south bank of the River Tay, opposite the village of Strathtay. The name is derived from the Scottish Gaelic garan tullach, meaning “ the rough mound ”. The name also applies to the estate surrounding the village, an area which used to cover some 10,000 acres and which belonged, since about 1400, to the Stuarts of Grandtully. The estate was also a barony, land held directly from the crown, and in early times it was also a regality, the laird having the right of pit and gallows within his own jurisdiction. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. When driving on Scottish roads in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip. The date for astronomical Summer in Scotland is Tuesday, 21 June, ending on Friday, 23 September. @tourscotland
