Drive North West Highlands Of Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video of a wee road trip drive on ancestry visit to the North West Scottish Highlands. The region has steep, glacier-carved mountains, lochs, glens and interspersed plains. The Northwest Highlands are located in the northern third of Scotland that is separated from the Grampian Mountains by the Great Glen, Glen More. The region comprises Wester Ross, Assynt, Sutherland and part of Caithness. This area's climate is dominated by the warming influence of the Gulf Stream but varies with altitude. It has warm, wet summers on average. All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.
