Abbey Church With Music On History Visit To Dunfermline West Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland short 4K Spring travel video clip of Abbey Church and the King Robert The Bruce spire on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit and trip to Dunfermline in West Fife, Britain, United Kingdom. King Robert the Bruce died at Cardross, near Dumbarton, in 1329, and his body was buried at Dunfermline Abbey in 1329 in the middle of the monk’s choir, while his heart was buried separately in Melrose Abbey. The Abbey Church occupies the site of the ancient chancel and transepts of a large medieval Benedictine abbey, which was sacked in 1560 during the Scottish Reformation and permitted to fall into disrepair. Part of the old abbey church continued in use at that time and some parts of the abbey infrastructure still remain to this day. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome.
