Tour Scotland short 4K early Spring Thursday wildlife camera travel video clip of the sight and sounds of a Sparrow and a Wood Pigeon bird spotted eating and drinking on an afternoon visit and trip to the grounds of my cottage garden in Scone by Perth, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. The wood pigeon, Columba palumbus, is the largest member of the dove and pigeon family in Great Britain, measuring about 15 inches long on average. Found in large flocks outside of breeding season, the wood pigeon eats a largely vegetable diet, foraged in open fields, gardens, lawns, including fruits, berries and grains. The date for astronomical spring is Sunday 20th March, ending on Tuesday 21st June, while by the meteorological calendar, spring will start on Tuesday 1st March.
