Tour Scotland short 4K travel video clip, with music, of Ardnamurchan Lighthouse in Lochaber on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the Scottish Highlands, Britain, :United Kingdom.Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is a 19th century lighthouse, located on Ardnamurchan Point. It is a 36 metre tall, pink granite tower built in 1849 by Alan Stevenson who was the uncle of Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. It is the only lighthouse in the UK built in the Egyptian style. The light was automated in 1988 and is now operated remotely by the Northern Lighthouse Board from Edinburgh. The last part of the computer game Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened takes place in this lighthouse. In 2021, the lighthouse was featured in an episode of British motoring television programme Top Gear, where the presenters raced three off-road vehicles to deliver and fit a new light bulb Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
