Boxing Day Road Trip Drive With Music On History Visit To Auchmuirbridge Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Boxing Day travel video, with Scottish bagpipes music, of part of a Winter road trip drive on the B932 road on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to Auchmuirbridge located on the boundary between Fife and Perth and Kinross, Britain, United Kingdom. The settlement of Auchmuirbridge lies adjacent to a bridge that crosses the River Leven. The present bridge, which replaced an earlier bridge across the old course of the River Leven, was constructed in 1830 to traverse the new and straighter channel created as part of the ambitious Leven Improvement Scheme. This scheme involved the partial drainage of Loch Leven to the west and the creation of a four mile long channel which came to be known as The Cut. The water of the Arnot Burn which flows down from the Lomond Hills to meet the River Leven at Auchmuirbridge was used to power a corn mill. The river here defines the boundary between the parishes of Leslie, to the North and Kinglassie to the South. Boxing Day, Monday, 26 December, 2022.
