Summer Road Trip Drive With Music On History Visit To Glenlyon Scottish Highlands Of Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Summer travel video, with Scottish accordion music, of a road trip drive on the narrow road with passing places through Glenlyon on ancestry, genealogy, family visit to the Perthshire Scottish Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. This is the longest enclosed glen in Scotland and runs for 34 miles from Loch Lyon in the west to the village of Fortingall in the east. This glen was also known as An Crom Ghleann which means, the bent glen. The glen has been home to many families, including MacGregor, Menzies, Stewart, Macnaughtan, MacGibbon and the Campbell of Glen Lyon. One of this family, Robert Campbell of Glenlyon led the detachment of government troops responsible for the infamous Glencoe Massacre, of the MacDonalds of Glencoe in 1691. It is not, however, the home of Clan Lyon. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. The date for astronomical summer in Scotland is Tuesday, 21 June, ending on Friday, 23 September.
