Road Trip Drive With Music From Crail On History Visit To St Andrews Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Spring travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, North on the A917 road from Crail through Kingsbarns in the East Neuk of Fife on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the harbour in St Andrews on the North East coast of Fife. The parish church in Kingsbarns was built around 1630, and substantially altered between 1810 and 1811 by Robert Balfour. St Andrews harbour is an estuary haven formed in the tidal mouth of the Kinness Burn. A fishing harbour is mentioned as early as 1222 in St Andrews, and another medieval record dates from 1363. Though I now live in Perthshire, I went to University in St Andrews. The Fife Coastal Walking Path runs from the Forth Estuary in the South, to the Tay Estuary in the North and stretches for 117 miles and includes St Andrews on the route. The date for astronomical spring is Sunday 20th March 2022, ending on Tuesday 21st June, while by the meteorological calendar, spring will start on Tuesday 1st March. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. When driving in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.
