Winter Snow With Music On Visit To Mountains In The Highlands Of Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Winter travel video, with Scottish music, of snow, on the top of the mountains on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the Highlands. In earlier times the Highland region was dominated by the Gaels and their Gaelic language and culture while the lowlands were Scottish. The dividing line was everything west from the Great Glen, Inverness to Loch Linnhe and the islands, and roughly 50 miles of land east of the Great Glen. In a way this line still exists and there are still differences between Highland and Lowland culture and language although most Gaelic speakers are nowadays confined to the islands in the west with a Gaelic stronghold in the Outer Hebrides. Officially, the Scottish winter runs from the 21st of December through to the 20th March. All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.
