Tour Scotland 4K travel video of a sunny Winter road trip drive, on narrow Scottish roads, with music, East through rural Perthshire on ancestry visit to the war memorial in the village of Newtyle, Angus. The memorial was designed by George Carnegie from Dundee and built by John Gray and Sons of Newtyle in 1920. The memorial is in the form of an obelisk about 19 feet high, commemorates the men of Newtyle who fell in the First World War. It was unveiled by the Earl of Strathmore. On the two sides are the following names: David Glenn Anderson, Robert Bain, Duncan Beaton, George Bell, Alex Brown, Andrew Cant, Frank Couper, James Couper, Alex Fleming, Fre Geekie, R.J.H. Johnstone, John McKenzie, William McLaren, Andrew McQueen, James McQueen, George Mann, Benamin Milne, Alex Millar, David Michell, Alex Spence. This road is only wide enough for one vehicle. It has special passing places. If you see a vehicle coming towards you, or the driver behind wants to overtake, try to pull into a passing place on your left, or wait opposite a passing place on your right. Give way to vehicles coming uphill whenever you can. If necessary, reverse until you reach a passing place to let the other vehicle pass, When driving in Scotland, slow down and enjoy the trip. Officially, the Scottish winter runs from the 21st of December through to the 20th March.
