Tour Scotland 4K travel video of photographs, with Scottish music, on an ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the church and cemetery in Dron, Strathearn, Perthshire. Dron lies on the River Farg in the northern foothills of the Ochil Hills, to the south east of Bridge of Earn. The existing church with its pinnacled tower is a building of 1824, consisting of a rectangular main body and a western tower, which probably occupies the site of the medieval church. It is no longer in use for worship. Sir Walter Scott thought the vista across Strathearn from Dron Hill was one of the most beautiful views in the world. On the slopes of Dron Hill rests a block of whinstone known as the Rocking Stone of Dron. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
