Tour Scotland 4K Winter travel video, with Scottish music, of a morning road trip drive East on the B936 road on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to Freuchie, Fife. Freuchie is a village at the foot of the Lomond Hills, and near Falkland. The nearest major town is Glenrothes located 4 miles to the South. The name derives from the Scottish Gaelic, fraoch, meaning heather. Freuchie was once used by the Royal family as a place of banishment from the Court when it was in nearby Falkland Palace. Officially, the Scottish winter runs from the 21st of December through to the 20th March. When driving in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip.
