Winter Road Trip Drive From St Monans To The Pends On Visit To St Andrews Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K travel video of a sunny Winter road trip drive, with Scottish music, from the harbour at St Monans in the East Neuk of Fife, then on the A917 road through Pittenween and the junction at Anstruther, then North on the B9131 road into the city of St Andrews, then along Abbey Road and South Street on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the Pends. The arched Pends was the former entrance to the St Andrews Priory. The Pends is also known locally as one of the sites of a ghostly vision of a coach and horses. This is often thought to be the coach of Archbishop Sharp who was murdered in 1679 during the Covenanter period of Scottish history. Officially, the Scottish winter runs from the 21st of December through to the 20th March. All photographs are copyright of Sandy Stevenson, Tour Scotland, and may not be used without permission.
