Winter History Visit With Music To Parish Church And Graveyard Kinnettles Angus Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video, with Scottish Music, of photographs from a Winter ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the church and graveyard in Kinnettles, Angus. Kinnettles Parish Church was built in 1812 by Samuel Bell, replacing a medieval original that was demolished. It is rectangular with Gothic details and has a small bellcote. It sits within a walled graveyard in the hamlet of Kirkton. The churchyard is rectangular and has a number of interesting gravestones, some of them of the ornately carved 17th and 8th century type, to the south and east. At the far east end of the graveyard are some medieval stones. Officially, the Scottish winter runs from the 21st of December through to the 20th March.
